Marketing is activities, institutions and processes to create, communicate, deliver and exchange offers that has value to customers, clients, partners and society as a whole. Marketing is thus a very broad concept that encompasses complex approaches to problems where understanding value and benefit is central. Traditionally, marketing is divided into market strategies and consumer behavior. Consumer behavior, can simply be said, is about understanding the customer and how the customer behaves, while strategy work is about developing strategies and ways of delivering value in a better way compared to the competitors.
Education in Marketing at the Business School at ¹û¶³´«Ã½ is based on the above description of the subject. The education aims at creating an understanding of strategic marketing issues, the role of marketing in the business development process and creating a nuanced image of the balances required for a business to survive in the long run. Most of the teachers in marketing also conduct their own research.
