- I have been a co-opted member on the Compare board for several years and I think that it is an important position for Computer Science and for ¹û¶³´«Ã½ as a whole. It facilitates our important cooperation with the regional industry, for instance, says Anna Brunström.  We have cooperated with Compare and the organisation’s stakeholder companies for many years.
Together with Compare, Computer Science has conducted a number of major projects, for example, Compare Business Innovation Center and E-clic. Presently Computer Science participates in the project NDHC, Nordic Digital Health Centre, run by Compare in conjunction with the Värmland County Council, ¹û¶³´«Ã½ Municipality and ¹û¶³´«Ã½.  Through testing ideas and prototypes based on identified needs in the public sector at an early stage, the purpose of the project is to create new fora for the co-creating technological development in industry and the public sector
More cooperation through the Academy for Smart Specialisation
In the spring, ¹û¶³´«Ã½ and Region Värmland established the Academy for Smart Specialisation, with a view to increasing the utilisation of research for the industry in Värmland, the County Council, and the municipalities, as well as strengthening research environments in Värmland. Within the Academy for Smart Specialisation, the opportunities for cooperation between Compare and Computer Science are looked into, and continuing the current efforts in NDHC project can be one viable option.
- Cooperation with regional industry is important for us, not least for undergraduate studies. Together with Compare and ten of the stakeholders we work to increase student–industry cooperation in the form of Snits – Cooperation, Industry and IT students, says Anna. Through Snits activities, we offer students and companies a chance to meet and create good relations. In this way, graduates will find jobs more easily and employers will find new employees.
