2020-03-18Congratulations to Josina Vink, Bo Edvardsson, Katarina Wetter-Edman and BÃ¥rd Tronvoll for receiving the 2019 Robert Johnston Award: Outstanding Paper of the year for the article "Reshaping mental models - enabling innovation through service design" published in the Journal of Service Management, JOSM.
The 2019 Robert Johnston Award recognizes their contribution to JOSM and to the service field. The award is presented annually by JOSM which is part of Emerald Group Publishing, one of the world's leading publishers of scientific journals in Business Administration.
"The article analyzes how service design can help create innovations by changing actors' mental models. The model presented is based on an ethnographic study of service design in practice in healthcare," says Bo Edvardsson, Professor of Business Administration at CTF, who emphasizes that Josina Vink is the lead author and her research on service design as a doctoral student at CTF was crucial for this article to receive this very honorable award in tough competition. This shows that the research at CTF is performing well in international competition.
Bård Tronvoll is a professor at CTF. Josina Vink was a former research student at CTF and is now a researcher at the Architectural and Design College in Norway. Katarina Wetter-Edman is a researcher at Örebro University and has also previously been associated with CTF.
