 - Thanks. It's great to be back. I'm here to prepare the new joint PhD position between CTF and Eawag. Thankfully, we have a very promising candidate and we now just want to manage the administrative challenges. In addition, I had a meeting with the company Metso yesterday, we discussed one of my former research topics on service business in China. Finally, I'm also holding a seminar at CTF today.
What kind of research are you involved in right now?
-The seminar today is actually on my new research field - services and business models for sanitation and water in low-income countries. Our research show that people living close to the poverty line can benefit from market-based approaches. Market-based approaches can lead to improved sanitation conditions, more affordable and safer drinking water, and more sustainable energy provision.
