Tuition fees
Students with citizenship in countries not within the EU/EEA, or Switzerland, are required to pay application and tuition fees for university studies in Sweden.
Students who will pay fees:
- Fees are applicable only for citizens of countries outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland.
- Fees apply to undergraduate and graduate courses and programmes (i.e., bachelor鈥檚 and master鈥檚 level courses and programmes, first and second cycle).

Students who will not pay fees:
- Citizens of countries within the EU/EEA and Switzerland are exempt from tuition fees.
- Exchange students (from all countries) are also exempt.
- PhD programmes are not affected by tuition fees.
What DOES IT COST TO STUDY AT KARLSTAD UNIVERSITY?
Students from Outside of EU/EEA will be required to pay an application fee and if admitted to 果冻传媒 a tuition fee.

Tuition fees vary depending on the program and field of study. The tuition fees for the academic year 2024/2025 are posted on each program鈥檚 webpage, and generally follow these guidelines:
- International Master鈥檚 Programmes: Fees range from 110,000 to 580,000 SEK for the entire program.Courses: Fees per ECTS credit are set based on the field:
- Humanities, Law, and Social Sciences: 1,600 SEK per ECTS.
- Natural Sciences, Technology, and Health: 2,500 SEK per ECTS.
- Medical and Sports Sciences: 3,200 SEK per ECTS.
- Music: 5,000 SEK per ECTS.
