Nanoscience I
7.5 ECTS creditsThis course presents an introduction to the most important areas of nanoscience and its technological applications. Focus lies on understanding the relations between on the one hand reduced dimensions and modified composition of nanometersized particles and on the other hand properties of and possible uses of such particles in various areas. These include e.g. important organic systems, composites, electronic components, medical technologies and applications in the energy and environmental areas. Experimental analytical methods and methods for the synthesis of particles are introduced. A part of the studies are carried out through student projects.
