Sounds and Structures of English
7.5 ECTS creditsDo you want to know more about the rules and conventions of the English language? In this course, you will get an introduction to English grammar and phonology. You will use basic linguistic terms and concepts to discuss and apply the rules and conventions of the English language, with a special focus on difficulties for learners of English as a second language. You will also learn about regional and stylistic variations, as well as similarities and differences between English and Swedish.

General admission requirements plus upper secondary school level English 6 or B (field-specific eligibility A2 or 2) or equivalent.
Selection:
Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
