The Intercultural Society
15.0 ECTS creditsThis course is an introduction to intercultural studies. It presents the historical development of intercultural theory and method in the social sciences, and the intercultural society as a multifaceted, dynamic and contemporary object of study and research. The course aims at deepening the participants? understanding of the dynamics of culture in changing demographic and social contexts. In focus are interdisciplinary contributions to the study of diversity, ethnicity, nation, and language, and of the role of culture in processes of social inclusion and exclusion.
