English for IT Professionals
7.5 ECTS creditsThe purpose of the course is to promote and develop students' communicative skills in English in the Information Technology (IT) field.
The course includes workshops focused on oral interaction and presentation exercises in pairs or small groups, and reading seminars on current publications in the field of professional IT. In between meetings, students are responsible for working continuously with writing and developing a specialised vocabulary, both individually and in groups, and for reflecting upon their own learning. Students are offered supervision and feedback on hand-in assignments and reading assignments.
English is used for all instruction, supervision, and course-related communication in the course.

Admission requirements
A degree of Bachelor (180 ECTS credits) in one of the main fields of study Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or Working Life Science, or a degree project of at least 15 ECTS credits at the G2E level in one of these fields, and upper secondary level English 6, or equivalent
Selection:
Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
