Art History and Visual Studies II: Art Life, Art museums, Art Education and Public Art
7.5 ECTS creditsThe course centres on the emergence of public art in Sweden and globally, and how art collections, art museums, art galleries, art criticism and art pedagogy can contribute to enhancing experience and learning as well as maintaining and challenging social value hierarchies. The material is mainly approached from the perspectives of gender, multiculturalism and pedagogy. Students also carry out an art pedagogical exercise and write an art review.

Art History and Visual Studies I, 30 ECTS credits, or equivalent, with 22.5 ECTS credits completed at the course start.
