15.0 ECTS creditsOn the basis of the knowledge and skills required for teaching, the module comprises the following components:
- teaching methodology treated from different perspectives of general and subject-specific pedagogy and analytical approaches
- curriculum theory treated in terms of the basic issues of what counts as knowledge in society and education, and what values are expected to be upheld and developed in education in relation to the content of curricula and the teacher's subject-specific methodological choices
- school governance with a focus on differentiation, the purpose and mandate of schools, and target groups in relation to an international and historical context and with links to national curricula
- education as a system treated in terms of how political and ideological positions contribute to shaping education in interaction with social change.
