Introduction to Partial Differential Equations
7.5 ECTS creditsClassification of partial differential equations (PDE), similarity solutions, fundamental solutions, travelling wavelike solutions, a priori energy and boundary estimates, maximum principles, comparison principles, uniqueness theorems, Green's functions for elliptic and parabolic equations, tailor-made techniques for non-linear PDE, basic functional analysis for the finite element method for linear elliptic PDE.

Mathematics 60 ECTS cr with at least 45 ECTS cr completed, including MAGA04 Linear Algebra 7.5 ECTS cr and MAGA62 Multivariable Analysis 7.5 ECTS cr., or equivalent.
