The course deals with different perspectives on children's music-making through practical application and the study of music-specific teaching ideas and pedagogical theories.

The course covers the following components:

Guitar chord play
Voice training in speech and song and solo singing in group
Rhythmics as a method
Thematic lesson planning
Music-specific teaching perspectives on and discussions of listening games, music-making with rhythmic instruments and how song-, voice- and sound-based games, music terms and simple chord play can be organised and learned
Pedagogical perspectives on children's music-making
Pedagogical documentation and assessment

Progressive specialisation: G1N (has only upper‐secondary level entry requirements)

Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
