Human Safety III: Societal safety promotion
7.5 ECTS creditsThe course deepens the understanding of injury prevention and safety promotion. The course is based on the principle that personal safety is an integrated part of society and must be designed with regard to factors that contribute to a sustainable system. Efforts to prevent injury and to arrange safety precautions must address lifestyle issues as well as policy and decision-making processes in general. The course discusses how injury prevention can be enhanced in a broader societal perspective. Special emphasis is on implementing and evaluating different safety and security promoting measures.
The course is offered as part-time distance education with two brief periods on campus (果冻传媒 university) at the beginning and end of the course. On-campus instruction is in the form of lectures, seminars and discussion. Seminars are part of assessment and therefore mandatory.

Admission requirements
Human Safety I: Injury Analysis and Risk Assessment, 7.5 ECTS cr and Human Safety II: Injury Prevention and Safety Promotion 7.5 ECTS cr, with a total of 10 ECTS credits completed, or equivalent. Upper secondary school level 3 or B and English 6 or B, or equivalent.
Selection:
Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
