30.0 ECTS creditsStudents develop their skills in using sociological theories and methods to analyse a chosen problem by writing a thesis.
Instruction is in the form of supervision and seminars. The thesis is discussed at a seminar and students are required to defend their thesis and peer review an fellow-student's thesis.
Supervision is only provided for the duration of the course. Re-registered students are offered additional supervision to the extent permitted by circumstances and available resources.

Admission requirements
The courses SOGA01 SociologI I 30 ECTS cr, SOGB01 Sociology II 30 ECTS cr, SOGC01 Sociology III 30 ECTS cr or equivalent, and 15 ECTS cr in Sociolog courses at Master level or higher, including methodology and method. Upper secondary school level Swedish 3 or B or Swedish as a second language 3 or B

Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
