Special Education: Research Project and Methodology
30.0 ECTS creditsThe aim of the course is that students develop interest in research, ability to think independently and an exploratory and critical approach.
The course comprises a unit on the theory of science and research methodology, 15 ECTS cr. and a research project 15 ECTS cr.
The course deals with the following components:
- the formation of theories and the underlying theory of science issues
- qualitative and quantitative methodological approaches in relation to special education research
- the various steps in the research process.
Instruction is in the form of lectures, seminars and supervision. Students choose a problem area in the field of special education at the start of the course, plan and carry out a research project under supervision, and defend the thesis at seminar.

Special Education 60 ECTS with 30 ECTS credits completed for courses at G1F level
Selection:
Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
