2022-12-13After a year of many and rapid changes, we would like to wish all of our students and staff a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year with a summary of an eventful 2022.

The first cohort of lawyers graduated from ¹û¶³´«Ã½ Business School
Per-Ola Wiklander, lecturer in public law and programme leader at the Business School, is very satisfied with how the law programme has developed. The students find work immediately.
Interest in loyalty and conflict results in book about loyalty conflicts
They come in three categories – easy, hard and impossible. A collaboration between working life science and sociology has resulted in a book for students.
Growing need for digital crisis exercises
The collaboration within the "CrisisIT 2 - Implementing Future Crisis Management" project between ¹û¶³´«Ã½ and Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences played an important role in the knowledge development and the exchange of experience regarding digitization of crisis exercises.
Prize for study on the boundary between working life and private life in a digitized working life
Kristina Palm from ¹û¶³´«Ã½ Business School and Calle Rosengren from Lund University were recognized for their research on the boundary between working life and private life in a digitized working life. Ann Bergman, Professor of working life science ¹û¶³´«Ã½ Business School, was recognized posthumously with an honourable mention.

Robert MacKenzie from ¹û¶³´«Ã½ Business School, as editor, introduced new chapters in a well received book on International Human Resource Management (IHRM).

"Nudge" gives greater vaccination effect
Getting a sufficiently large part of the population vaccinated against various diseases is a recurring challenge. Despite the fact that vaccines against Covid-19 are offered free of charge, many are still not fully vaccinated. In the study "Vaccination nudges: A study of pre-booked COVID-19 vaccinations in Sweden", Niklas Jakobsson, Mats Ekman and Carl Bonander investigate how pre-booked vaccination times have affected the number of people vaccinated.
Government efforts to prevent a financial crisis
The government wants to guarantee electricity producers' liquidity to prevent the electricity market's problems from spreading to the entire financial sector. During a press conference on 3rd September, several proposals were presented to avoid this. Internationalization at ¹û¶³´«Ã½ Business School
Re-connecting through personal meetings, green travel and inclusion were the themes of internationalization in 2022. New exchange study destinations in Hong Kong, Japan and Italy commenced. Sustainability within internationalization is increasingly on the agenda and participants made the most of new Erasmus scholarships by choosing to travel by train.
New scholarships for students who have children or additional needs were launched to make exchange studies abroad possible for everyone. ¹û¶³´«Ã½ Business School hosted students and academics from all over the world - both on site in ¹û¶³´«Ã½ and in hybrid form, to support our commitment to international sustainability.
During the Consortium of International Double Degrees, which the School of Economics hosted in June, opportunities to internationalize our programs were discussed. ¹û¶³´«Ã½ Business School's academics received international recognition for the quality of their research by participating in international research projects with (Stellenbosch University in South Africa) and being appointed honorary professors at (University of Manchester, GB) world-class universities.
