University wide agreement with Memorial University of Newfoundland
2021-04-21We asked the International Office at ¹û¶³´«Ã½ how they identify new partners for student exchanges.
Carina Eriksson, who develops new exchange agreements with universities outside Europe explains, that during previous International Exchange Days we asked students, where do you want to go on exchange?
- We use this feedback directly from students to formulate a plan of where to start new agreements. Many students told us they would like more opportunities at English speaking universities and in North America.
¹û¶³´«Ã½ has signed a university wide agreement with Memorial University of Newfoundland in Canada, which Business School students can use for student exchange.
When researching with which universities to work, ¹û¶³´«Ã½ Business School (KBS) looks for partners who share our values and common themes in their mission. The Memorial University of Newfoundland aligns with KBS’ mission through a strong focus on sustainability, winning a UN Momentum for Climate Change Solutions Award for their research, and quality education, they are AACSB accredited, which means their education has been internationally peer reviewed and quality assured.
The first students from ¹û¶³´«Ã½ should have started studying at Memorial in spring 2021. Unfortunately, due to the corona pandemic, this was not possible but we are hoping to send the first students in spring 2022.
Exchange opportunities are open to students at both bachelor and master level. As a fully comprehensive university Memorial offers a wide range of business subjects including:
• Accounting & finance
• HR and labour relations
• Information systems
• International business
• Marketing
• Economics
There are also courses in entrepreneurship, for which Memorial is especially well known.
