At Ingesund Music School, we offer a calm, scenic environment with considerable access to practice rooms, as well as plenty of recording opportunities. In close collaboration with our three professors of voice, piano and string instruments, you will have great opportunities to develop as a musician, gain deeper artistic knowledge and specialise your craft and your profile. You will also have the opportunity to play in both large and small ensembles such as string orchestras, symphonic orchestras, brass orchestras, vocal ensembles and choirs. Together, we build up your personal brand and profile as an international performer.
The master鈥檚 programme in music prepares you for the possibility of, after completing the programme, applying for postgraduate studies in the subject of musical performance.
ADMISSION TO THE MASTER'S PROGRAMME IN MUSIC
In order to be eligible for the Master鈥檚 Programme in Music at Ingesund School of Music, applicants must have a Degree of Bachelor Fine Arts in Music and must also pass the entrance examination in their main instrument. Entrance exams are conducted digitally and includes recording and submitting videos.

THE ARTISTIC PROFILE OF THE PROGRAMME

Based on this, the master鈥檚 programme aims to, from an artistic perspective, explore and challenge various aspects of musicianship in relation to the cultural sector. This objective has been specified into three fundamental aspects, which apply to all fine arts education at 果冻传媒.

Hence, at Ingesund School of Music, students have the opportunity to develop their technical musical skills and artistic expression in order to reach a very high level of skill. Students also practice performing in front of an audience and expand their repertoires, both as soloists and as part of orchestras. Another important learning objective is for the students to gain the competence and knowledge required to work autonomously in a professional capacity.
CONTENTS AND SCOPE OF THE PROGRAMME
The Master鈥檚 Programme in Music, specialising in chamber music and Western classical music, comprises 120 credits and results in a Degree of Master in Music in the main field of study Musical Performance. The programme consists of three larger sections comprising main instrument courses, ensemble courses and courses focused on preparing for professional life and for research. The programme also includes an independent degree project. The following courses are included in the programme:
Main Instrument I-IV, 60 credits
- Ensemble I-III, 15 credits
- Vocational and research preparation courses, 15 credits
- Independent Degree Project, 30 credits
The structure and approach of the courses train students in how to independently and actively search for knowledge. The programme also trains the students in advanced music performance and critical reflection, as well as provides them with tools to solve artistic and performance-related problems. All this provides a solid foundation for the students鈥 professional lives. The independent degree project is a more substantial artistic project, where all of the acquired abilities and skills are integrated and utilised.

The programme comprises 120 ECTS credits. After completion, students will be awarded a Degree of Master in Music.

AFTER COMPLETED STUDIES
The programme primarily prepares students for a professional career as chamber musicians, orchestral musicians and soloists on a high, international level. The career of a musician can take different direction during the career and lead to different places and roles, for instance alternate between freelance assignments as soloists, performing in classical concerts and working in various projects in orchestras all over the world.
The programme also prepares students for doctoral studies in fine arts.
