Serial Killer Narratives
Although the statistical chances of meeting a serial killer in real life are infinitesimally small, they seem to be absolutely everywhere in the media, from true crime to news journalism and all manner of fictional narratives.
The symposiumHere, There, Everywhere: The Figure of the Serial Killeraddresses this curious ubiquity, asking questions such as: Why is the figure of the serial killer so fascinating to so many people? What fears, concerns and fantasies are at stake in its cultural proliferation? Both international and Swedish scholars will explore such questions from a wide range of approaches and perspectives on November 10-11 2022.
