Professor Anders Gustafsson, CTF, Service Research Center at ý, has been awarded the “Christopher Lovelock Career Contributions to the Services Discipline Award”. Only five times earlier has the award been presented to a researcher outside the US.
"I am overwhelmed and very honored to receive this award. Previous recipients are incredibly dedicated researchers and I know the competition is very hard", says Professor Anders Gustafsson.
Since 1994 the “Christopher Lovelock Career Contributions to the Services Discipline Award” is presented annually by SERVSIG to the individual whose teaching, research and service have had the greatest long-term impact on the development of the services discipline. Career contributions of the candidates should be of long duration, preferably 15 to 20 years. Contributions to the services discipline should be significant, frequent, and include recent contributions. This is the second time a researcher from CTF receives the award. The fist recipient was Professor Bo Edvardsson in 2004.

That yet another researcher from CTF receives the prize is rewarding for us, and it is also an indication of the position that CTF has internationally", says Per Kristensson, CTF Director and Professor in psychology.
The award ceremony took place during the Frontiers in Service Conference held September 6-9 in Austin, Texas.
Anders Gustafsson is a Professor in Business Administration at CTF, Service Research Center at ý, and ý Business School, Sweden, and Professor at BI Norwegian School of Business, Norway. His research focuses on customer experiences, customer loyalty and new service development. He has published more than 150 academic articles, book chapters, and industry reports. He is editor for the Journal of Business Research and the Journal of Service Research. In 2017, Anders Gustafsson was, as the first European, awarded the prestigious assignment as President of AMA Academic Council. In 2014, he initiated the network INSR, International Network of Service Researcher, with the aim to strengthen and move the field of service research forward.
