Christmas greeting from the Director
2019-12-19The Christmas and New Year holidays are approaching and another busy year has gone by, now we are looking forward to a new and exciting year.
In 2019, three of our researchers defended their doctoral dissertations and one licentiate thesis was presented. We have admitted no less than four new PhD students. In June, we hosted a fantastic conference, QUIS16, with around 250 international researchers. CTF is featured on rankings lists, and one of our Ander Visiting Professors, Stephen Vargo, is the only representative from a Swedish University on the prestigious Clarivate List. We launched the Swedish Innovation Index at the Service Innovation Day in March. Some of our research has focused on the climate and on December 5th, some of our researchers were awarded Lidl’s Sustainability Award for a new research project in this research area. We have launched and are running courses for professionals in the Graduate Professional Development Program. We have submitted proposals to the government on how future services should be developed… yes, there are lots to tell, but now we are looking forward, and first we will have a Christmas break.
I would like to thank everyone for the fantastic year that has passed and take the opportunity to send a small psychology advice that can contribute to a calm and value-creating Christmas and New Year celebration: Research shows that it is the small moments that lead to well-being – so make time for small and cozy moments with your loved ones.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Per Kristensson
Director of CTF
