CTF researchers at the QUIS15 symposium
2017-06-29On June 12-15 researchers from CTF, Service Research Center at ¹û¶³´«Ã½, Sweden, gathered in Porto for the QUIS15 symposium. The symposium is held every other year and attracts around 250 leading researchers and executives from all over the world.
CTF researchers Per Skålén, Carolina Camén and Bo Edvardsson participated in a workshop on Transformative service research. They were part of the group Public sector services led by Per Skålén, Lia Patricio and Daniela Sangiorgi. The group discussed research ideas and planned future research. One of the questions discussed was; How can we use our understanding of service ecosystems as a basis for researech on public sector organisations and their renewal and transformation?
PhD Students and Jr. Faculty colleagues were invited to attend a special professional development session. The panel for this session consisted of well-respected service research scholars from several countries around the world; CTF researcher Anders Gustafsson together with Tor Andreassen, Sunmee Choi, Marival Segarra Ona. During the session they provided tips and advice for teaching, research, professional service, work-life balance, and other aspects of academic life. Session chair was Rohit Verma.
CTF Professor Bo Edvardsson was in the panel for the plenary session "Service Research Centres" together with Christian Grönroos, Irene Ng, Lia Patricio and Wolfgang Ulaga.

QUIS15, the 15th international research symposium on service excellence in management June 12-15 was hosted by the School of Engineering of University of Porto in conjunction with CTF, Service Research Center at ¹û¶³´«Ã½, Sweden, the Center for Services Leadership, W. P. Carey School of Business, Arizona State University, USA, and the Center for Hospitality Research, School of Hotel Administration, Cornell University, USA. The next QUIS symposium will be hosted by CTF, Service Research Center at ¹û¶³´«Ã½, in ¹û¶³´«Ã½ Sweden June 10-13, 2019.
