CTF researchers were awarded the Nokia Award
2016-04-22The researchers Lars E Olsson, Peter Magnusson and Alexandre Sukhov have been awarded the “Nokia Award for the Paper with the Best Technological Implications”.
The award “Nokia Award for the Paper with the Best Technological Implications” was presented at the conference “Charting the Future of Innovation”, organized by ISPIM, the International Society for Professional Innovation Management in March in Boston, USA.
The researchers received the award for the conference paper “The What, Who, When, Where and How idea assessment” written along with Jennie Björk, KTH, Royal Institute of Technology. The paper is based on research conducted in collaboration with KTH researchers Mats Magnusson and Jennie Björk in the Vinnova-funded project SAKI, managing creative idea development.
- The paper is partly based on a review of the research in the field of idea evaluation and partly on workshops with innovation leaders in Sweden. Based on this, a conceptual framework on what factors influence the evaluation of new innovative ideas is presented. As one of the motivations for the award, it is stated that the paper puts the finger on what factors that practitioners themselves need to reflect on and consider before designing their own idea evaluation processes. The paper also provide guidelines for future research in idea development, says Peter Magnusson, Associate Professor of Business Administration.
