Hello Pablo Moreno, Ph D Student, Spanish Science and Education Ministry at Murcia University…
2014-12-05You are now back in Spain after spending four months at CTF. What were your expectations before you came here, and what have you achieved during your visit?
- My expectations before coming here were basically: learning new ways of working and presenting my research at an international level, deepening my dissertation research with the brilliant researchers of CTF, attending research courses, and trying to build partnerships for future research. Nowadays, I can say that being a visiting scholar at CTF has far exceeded my expectations. My achievements during the visit are many. I redesigned the structure of my thesis. Furthermore, thanks to suggestions from different researchers, I have acquired more specific focus in my research on “Service Innovation from the Frontline Employees and Customers point of view". I have participated in numerous CTF-seminars: "Transformative Research Service" held by Associate Professor Laurel Anderson and Professor Amy Ostrom, from CLS, Arizona State University, USA. "International Networking in Service Innovation", organized by CTF-Professor Anders Gustafsson and included some of the best researchers in Service Innovation. "Service Logic" was held by Professor Per Kristensson, CTF. "Academic writing Workshop", held by Claes Thorén, Senior Lecturer, Uppsala University. "Service Innovation: Service Logic Perspectives and a new framework" held by Professor Bo Edvardsson, CTF. In addition, I have had meetings with several researchers at CTF in order to obtain new points of views, to analyze strengths and weaknesses of my research, and to establish potential and future collaboration. Moreover, I had the opportunity to see and learn from a really good thesis defended by Ph D Claes Högström. Finally, and most important for me, I have been able to collaborate with one of the best researchers at the center, and we have submitted two papers for two top conferences in our research area. We are also working a manuscript for a prestigious Journal.
What is you impression of CTF, and Sweden?
- My visit at CTF has been amazing. I wonder: Why isn’t there a CTF in every country around the world? That would be great! I have felt at home thanks to the friendly people here. I would especially like to give my thanks to Britt-Marie Shandrew, Administrator at CTF, and to CTF’s Director Henrietta Huzell. Everyone at CTF gave me a warm welcome and they have offered me their support during this time. And the fantastic group of Ph D Students - my new Swedish friends. Sweden is lovely. This country has shown me a different lifestyle, an exquisite form to work, admirable personal values, many wonderful landscapes and above all, people that I will never forget. I love Sweden and I love CTF! Thank you so much for your kindness and see you soon!
Good luck with your Ph D thesis, and hope to see you at CTF again!
