On 21-23 May, study and career counsellors from Sweden’s universities and university colleges gather at ¹û¶³´«Ã½ for the conference Vägledarkonferens 2024.
– We have 227 registered so far. Our goal was 180, so we’re very happy about the turnout, says Emilia Westberg.
She is part of the project group for the conference together with her colleagues, study and career counsellors Evelina Segerdahl and Anne-Marie Larsen.
Vägledarkonferensen is an annual event hosted by higher education institutions around the country, and this year the turn has come ¹û¶³´«Ã½. Registration closes on 30 April and the project group behind the event is in the midst of the final preparations.
– We’re in contact with those who are going to give talks and the moderator, coordinating all the details, says Evelina Segerdahl.
– All those final things that need to be in place, says Emilia Westberg.
They have also brought the batons to their planning meeting, on to which the hosting university adds symbols (see image). The batons are handed over to the next university to host the conference on the last day.
The theme of this year’s conference is about how to motivate others to be successful in their studies and future career, as well as how to inspire and motivate oneself. The programme includes around ten speakers, a get-together at Lars Lerin art gallery on the first evening and dinner at KCCC with entertainment by Norrskensorkestern on the second evening.
Vägledarkonferensen is held in Lagerlöfsalen and Transformum 21-23 May. More information (in Swedish):
