Sunet Drive should be used for all storage and internal sharing of research data at ¹û¶³´«Ã½. The service can also be used to share research data with collaborative partners outside the university within the framework of research projects in which ¹û¶³´«Ã½ participates as principle investigator. However, as a general rule, Sunet Drive may not be used as a storage, other than sharing, for research data from other organizations.

Sunet Drive is accessible, secure and flexible. The storage solution meets the legislative requirements for cybersecurity:

• The storage solution is structured and configured to guarantee technical compliance in terms of information security and GDPR. 
• The storage is located in Sweden and the solution is designed to protect research data against outside actors or other nation’s decisions that could jeopardise the integrity of the data. 
• The supplier is legally bound by professional secrecy regarding the stored data.

Safer login for increased information protection

When logging into certain services where sensitive personal data is processed, expanded security in the form of one more login is needed, in addition to the password. The purpose of this is to confirm the identity of the person trying to login.

When using Sunet Drive, the expanded security is needed to better protect the research data. This means that you must have an app installed on your mobile phone, which will generate a one-time code when you want to login and access your research data. This is comparable to using a mobile bank-ID.

The provision  from the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency, include extensive stipulations regarding the use of multi-factor authentication in public authorities.

Sunet Drive does not accept files bigger than 27 GB. It is recommended that you use the mp4 format when recording video. This provides good quality as well as compression, which prevents the files from becoming too big.
