My research focuses on new forms of governing in a post-political era, with a special interest in theorizing democracy, politics and the political. I am also working within the field of critical policy analysis, especially in the areas of gender equality and regional growth, and I also have an interest in rural and urban studies - mainly relating to relations between place/space and power.

My current research is mainly focused in relation to three research projects: Artificial Intelligence – Destroyer or enabler of democracy and self-determination (funded by WASP-HS) where I study the relations between the implementation of AI systems in the public sector and democratic governance, Separatist spaces/Safe spaces (funded by FORMAS), where I am interested in the relations between separatism, power and political change, and the research program The promised land? 

I am also the Chair for the Committee for the Humanities and Social Sciences at the Swedish Research Council. 

I am responsible for the Master's Program in Political Science and teach on several of the courses in the Program, for example Political Theory and Democracy - theories, practices and dilemmas.
