Research
Within my doctoral studies, I focus on prenatal exposure to endocrine-disrupting chemicals and neurobehavior (autism spectrum disorders, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorders among others) in the offspring. All my four projects are based on the SELMA cohort and will explore different pathways to how neurobehavior can be affected during neurodevelopment.
My projects will not only focus on associations but rather aim to determine the total effect of the exposure on the outcome, using the causal framework.
My favourite paper of all time is "The C-Word: Scientific Euphemisms Do Not Improve Causal Inference From Observational Data" by Miguel Hernan (DOI: 10.2105/AJPH.2018.304337 ).
