Perspectives on subject didactics in national contexts
2024-10-01On 9-12 September, the conference BERA/WERA was held in Manchester. One of the participants was Christina Olin-Scheller, professor of literary studies education and educational work at ¹û¶³´«Ã½. She took part in the symposium Transnational and Interdisciplinary Perspectives on Subject Didactics together with participants from other countries.
– The symposium consisted of collaborations that have developed within the KOSS network and the conference we co-organised in Trier in May. The presentations focused on subject didactic issues in relation to different national contexts. My presentation offered a Swedish perspective and highlighted challenges for literary studies education based on powerful knowledge and powerful professional knowledge.
The conference was organised by the British Educational Research Association (BERA) and the World Education Research Association (WERA).
