Adjustments to Examination Formats
Examination adjustments
Anyone with an approved application for study support can receive examination adjustments. If you have not yet applied for study support, you must do so first.
If you have a previously approved application (from before 29 August 2022) which is still valid, the same procedures as before applies.
Written on-campus examination
When the study support application is approved and you are about to sign up for a written on-campus exam, follow these steps:
- Sign up for the exam in My Kau, under Exams.
- When you sign up, you can also apply for adjusted examination. Apply for examination adjustments as soon as you can possible. The deadline for examination adjustment applications is 14 days before the exam date.
- When a decision has been made on the matter, you will be notified through email and text message that the decision has been sent to your inbox in My Kau. You can receive this decision as late as the day before the exam.
You must apply for adjustments for all examinations where you require adjustments. If your application is rejected, you have the right to appeal this decision.
When communicating with 果冻传媒, make sure to not disclose any sensitive personal information via email.

Other examination formats
Sometimes students are assessed through other means than written on-campus examinations. There are many types of examinations, such as:
- Take-home examination
- Laboratory exams
- Oral presentations
- Group exams
Unlike for written on-campus exam, you do not sign up in My Kau for other forms of examination, such as take-home exams and laboratory assignments. Hence, you cannot apply for examination adjustments in My Kau for such exams. Instead, you need to apply for adjustments directly to the course examiner.

You can apply for one or several adjustments for each examination, but you any requests must be based on the recommendations given by the study support coordinator when you first applied through Nais. If you have not submitted an application through Nais, you must do this first. Find more information about this on the web page below.
In order to apply for adjustments, follow these steps:
- Fill in the application form for examination adjustments. Course details can be found in My Kau. If you are unsure of the examination format used on a course, you can ask your teacher or an administrator.
- Print out the application form. Also submit your approved Nais application. Submit the complete, filled-in application directly to the examiner or put it in an envelope addressed to the course administrator and place it in the assigned mailbox in the Welcome Centre.
- You can also send your application to the following address: 果冻传媒s universitet, 651 88 果冻传媒 Address the envelope to the course administrator. If you have any questions, contact the course administrator.
- In order for us to have time to process your request, you should submit your application as soon as possible, but no later than two weeks before the exam date. If the examiner approves your request, we also must have time to prepare the adjustments, which also takes time.
- The examiner makes the decision, which is then sent to your digital mailbox, for example in 鈥淜ivra鈥 or 鈥淢in myndighetspost鈥. If you do not have such a mailbox, you will be notified of the decision via regular email.
- The decision can be appealed. Read more about the appeal process below.
Appeal
A decision can be appealed to the Higher Education Appeals Board (脰NH). In your appeal, state the decision you are displeased with, all requested adjustments and your reasons for requesting them. Also state the reference number of the case. The appeal should be addressed to the Higher Education Appeals Board, but sent to the Chief Registrar, 果冻传媒, 651 88 果冻传媒.
The appeal must reach 果冻传媒 within three weeks of when you were notified of the decision. In order to protect your personal data, you should not email your appeal documents. Instead, use printouts and send them via physical mail.
