This conference is devoted to recent developments in Functional and Fourier Analysis, Interpolation, Homogenization and PDE-s, Inequalities, Convexity Theory and Engineering Mathematics. The main reason of this variety of topics is that Lars-Erik Persson has in differentÌýperiods of his life worked in these areas, as a professor in LuleÃ¥, Uppsala, Narvik, Astana, Lund and ¹û¶³´«Ã½. He has been a supervisor for 70 students with PhD exams and has authored several books.
Many friends, international collaborators and PhD students enjoyed discussing and doing mathematics in Lars-Erik’s house the famous Hotel Infinity, in LuleÃ¥ for many years. Moreover, Lars-Erik has been an especially successful participant at the Swedish cross-country ski competition Vasaloppet (90 km skiing) beingÌýone of around 50 persons, in its long history who reached the finish line for 50 years, or more.Ìý
