Accounting and control
Accounting is about documenting and communicating financial and non-financial information. It is applied by both private and public organizations. Accounting can be divided into financial accounting and management accounting.
Financial accounting is statutory and provides information on results and financial position, as well as corporate social responsibility and sustainability to external stakeholders. The regulations are both national and international as many organizations operate both within and outside the country's borders. Management accounting is used for internal decision-making and management towards set goals. The specialization Accounting and control also includes auditing, an independent audit of companies' management and accounts, which aims to increase the credibility of financial and non-financial information.
The specialization Accounting and Control at ¹û¶³´«Ã½ Business School at ¹û¶³´«Ã½ provides good prerequisites for working with accounting in both the private and public sectors and with auditing. Theoretical studies are supported by current research and combined with practical cases. Upon completion of the education, there is a possibility to continue with doctoral studies. Many of those who teach have worked with accounting and auditing in practice and are conducting research in financial accounting, management accounting and auditing.
