Communicating Science
The course is a university-wide part of the third-cycle studies at ¹û¶³´«Ã½. Â
The overarching purpose of the course is to increase the doctoral students’/researchers’ ability to present and spread scientific findings and ideas in a way that has more public outreach.
One important goal is to develop the participants’ ability to spread knowledge and communicate with the surrounding society: the public, media and other actors. Another goal is for the participants to improve their ability to communicate with and present findings to researchers within other subject areas than their own.
In accordance with the overarching purpose of the university-wide third-cycle courses, the course also aims to broaden the participant’s knowledge of approaches and practices within other research areas, as well as contribute to the exchange of experiences between participants from different disciplines.
