Chemistry, Bachelor Thesis
15.0 ECTS creditsThe course is offered in the form of a supervised practical or theoretical project. The students work on their own investigative projects during 7 out of the 10 weeks that make up the course. Instruction is in the form of supervision, individually or in groups of students, or a combination. Supervision is provided for the duration of the course. Re-registered students are only offered supervision if circumstances permit.
Students draw up a project plan which includes research questions, methods, and a time plan. The project plan must be approved by the examiner before the project starts. The results of the project are compiled in an individual report written in Swedish or English. The report must always have a title and abstract in Swedish and English. The report must meet the standard requirements of research ethics and include discussions of:
- the relation of the research question and results to existing knowledge and previous research in the area,
- possible applications of the results or of other research results related to the research question, and desirable or undesirable consequences of these.
The project is presented and discussed orally in a seminar.

75 ECTS credits in Chemistry, including Scientific Writing and Theory in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering C, 7.5 ECTS credits, or equivalent
Selection:
Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
