Main instrument II, Western classical music
15.0 ECTS creditsStudents study, interpret and perform a chosen repertoire in Western classical music on their main instrument. The course includes reporting and reflecting on repertoire, style, musical analysis, interpretation and practical applications as well as on techniques and methods for rehearsing and performing. There are also instruction and application of technically advanced exercises and of techniques and methods for rehearsing and performing a chosen repertoire as well as sight-reading of music notation at various levels of complexity. Students play solo and chamber music repertoire for enhanced instrumental skills. Parts of the repertoire are performed in in-house concerts. Students also reflect upon musical learning processes and approaches to music.
Instruction is in the form of individual tutorials, seminars, and master classes.
