The course addresses the following topics:
The cell, metabolism, tissues, the integumentary system, the skeletal system, joints, the muscular system, the nervous system, the sensory system, the endocrine system, blood, the cardio-vascular systems, the lymphatic system, the immune system, the respiratory system, the digestive system, the urinary system, fluid and electrolyte balance, acid-base balance, the reproductive system, and embryology.
The course also includes laboratory sessions on basic physiological functions and how these can be monitored, as well as ethics in medicine.
