The course consists of two parts: The child, leader and the band, and Methodology for a wind ensemble/wind band at beginner level.

-reflections on the role of the leader in a wind ensemble and/or wind band
-groupdynamic processes
-creating learning environments
-wind ensemble and/or wind band in society

Methodology for a wind ensemble/wind band
-the art of conducting
-tools and methods for teaching in a wind ensemble and/or wind band
-planning and rehearsing methodology
-instruments in the ensemble or band
-repertoire and arranging
-varied and progressive interplay instruction.

Instruction is in the form of groups, seminars, lectures and practical components.
Supervised instruction in leading wind ensemble and/or wind band and individual study and written assignments are included.

Progressive specialisation: G1N (has only upper‐secondary level entry requirements)

Education level: Undergraduate level

Selection:

Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
