eHealth
Many aspects of medicine and health care are transformed by theÌýongoingÌýdigitisation. Many of the Information Systems group’s researchers have been involved or are involved in research within this area. In the year 2018 we hosted the IEEE conference Computer-Based Medical Systems (CBMS 2018). For CBMS 2023, contact Ala Sarah Alaqra or Bridget Kane.
We are also active within DOME: Development of Online Medical records and E-health services – with the purpose toÌýbuild knowledge about the implementation and use of eHealth services and is based on studies of e-health projects.ÌýDOME is aÌýcollaborative consortiumÌýbetween ¹û¶³´«Ã½, the Royal Institute of Technology, University of Lund, University ofÌýSkövde, Uppsala University, and Örebro University. One of its projects is Ìýwhich aims to increase self-management and transparency in healthcare. The goal is to enable further digitalization of the public health sector by providing concrete feedback to the national authorities in the respective countries.Ìý
Much of the research within usable privacy has connections to eHealth. Also, there is plenty of eHealth-related research at KAU’s service research centre, CTF; see in particular Digital Well, where for instance a study on interactive prototypingÌýhas been conducted.
