Mathematics
Mathematics is both a classical science and modern dynamic science. Analysis and algebra form the basis of the mathematical language and mathematical tools and are essential for studies in science, engineering and at teacher education. Mathematics also has a large and growing role in research in economics and modeling of social phenomena.
The subject of Mathematics belongs to the Faculty of Health, Science, and Engineering, and is responsible for mathematics education in many of the university's programs, primarily in engineering and teacher education. The mathematics department also provides professional development for teachers in primary and secondary education.
