The Software Development Industry is going through a quiet paradigm shift. Developers, testers and integrators are shifting towards developing e-services rather than Enterprise Applications. At the same time the usage of cloud-based tools (e-services) in their day to tay activities is increasing. Notions such as “Software-as-a-Service” and “Platform-as-a-Service” enables a new playing field with new prerequisites, opportunities and challenges. At the same time the demands for integration with existing Enterprise Applications is a constant in need of careful attention. My research focus is in combining these issues with Open Source infrastructure and solutions using Enterprise Java.
