Prima’s research interests lie in the area of Conceptual and Enterprise Modeling, Graphical Representation of e-Business processes, Service-Oriented Methods, Privacy Enhancement and Security Assurance Technologies. Her main research area is service-oriented modeling with a focus on pragmatic and semantic aspects of information system development. Her research interests lie in the area of Conceptual and Enterprise Modeling, Graphical Representation of e-Business processes, Service-Oriented Methods, Privacy Enhancement and Security Assurance Technologies. Prima Gustiené was a member of Enterprise and Systems Architecture Design group at the Department of Information Systems. The research group was engaged in developing a new graphical modeling approach for information systems analysis and design. This approach is expected to improve the ability to engineer information systems according to business requirements, and to facilitate better communication among business experts and information system designers. Prima’s contribution towards reaching this goal is the development of the pragmatic-driven service-oriented modeling method. Currently, Prima Gustiené is working on the extensions of service-oriented modeling method. She was involved in several scientific projects, which resulted in research reports and different reviewed scientific publications presented in international conferences and project meetings. She is the author of many scientific publications in the area of information system development, including journal article and book chapters.

Prima Gustiené is an active researcher taking place in various conferences and research meetings. Prima Gustiené was serving as a program committee member for the International Conference on Information System Development. She is an active participant in collaborating with researchers from other Universities and companies. To name a few: Ninetech Group AB, ¹û¶³´«Ã½, Stiftelsen Kirkens Bymisjon, Oslo, CASED - Center for Advanced Security Research Darmstadt, Germany, Försvarsmakten (Swedish Armed Forces), VTT - Technical Research Centre of Finland, Kaunas University of Technology, Lithuania, Catena Software factory, Japan. Makerere University, Uganda. Prima Gustiené has also research collaboration with three universities at Baltic countries: Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.
