CTF at QUIS 12
2011-07-01The QUIS 12 conference was held June 2-5 at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY, USA.
Researchers from CTF were there, and three of them were awarded.
Per Kristensson, Anders Gustafsson, and Lars Witell received the award 'Best Article Award' for their article, 'The Dimensions of Co-Creation and its Contribution to Market Success, about Customer co-creation when developing new services.
The paper 'Learning from the Customer: Three Ways of using Diaries in Healthcare Service Development' got an honorable mention and a Highly Commended Paper at the QUIS12 conference. The paper was written by Mattias Elg, Linkoping University, Jon Engstrom, Linkoping University, Lars Witell, CTF, ¹û¶³´«Ã½ and Linkoping University, and Bozena Pokinska, Linkoping University.
Over 250 participants from 30 countries listened to keynote speeches on service excellence, radio-frequency ID applications, customer engagement, and customer satisfaction. Additionally, participants presented papers on the application of service to durable goods businesses (known as servitization), the importance of employees in service quality, interaction with the customer (known as co-creation), and the effects of social media and sustainability concerns on service, among other topics. The conference was arranged by the Cornell Center for Hospitality Research (CHR), with co-chairs Stephen Brown, Arizona State University, Bo Edvardsson, ¹û¶³´«Ã½, Robert Johnston, University of Warwick, Richard Metters, Emory University, and Rohit Verma, CHR executive director, and professor at the Cornell School of Hotel
Administration.
