Study programme
Prerequisites
Degree of Bachelor of at least 180 credits, including a degree project of at least 15 credits or equivalent. The degree shall also include 22.5 credits in Mathematics and 15 credits in Industrial Organisation, Project Management or equivalent. Furthermore, 7.5 credits in Production Systems or Manufacturing Technology, as well as 7.5 credits in Mechanics or Solid Mechanics are required. Upper secondary level English 6 or equivalent.

Application and tuition fees
- Total fee: 280,000 SEK (approximately €31,111)
- Per semester / First payment: 70,000 SEK (approximately €7,778)
- Application fee: 900 SEK (approximately €100)
If you are an exchange student, or if you have citizenship in a European Union (EU) or European Economic Area (EEA) country, or Switzerland, you are NOT required to pay application or tuition fees.
While studying
Education
The programme includes two years of studies in the advanced level which is research driven and focuses on innovation management, service development and business development. The aim of the programme is that the student develops the knowledge and skills to identify and create new business opportunities, transform organisations into the service economy, and manage creativity and innovation processes. Education is given in an active form where students often work in groups with a strong focus on both theoretical and practical relevance.Form of Instruction
Within the programme, education is given in the form of lectures, exercise and presentations, together with supervised projects.Examination
Courses in the programme are examined through written, oral, individual and group assignments that are presented and discussed in mandatory seminars.Professional Contact
The programme has been developed in collaboration with Swedish companies from industries, such as industrial production, IT development, and consumer goods.The skills that you develop are therefore aligned with the needs of the job market. Some courses are also linked to practice through guest lectures by practitioners, live case assignments and projects from companies.Course of Study
The programme consists of 8 periods (4 per year), where the students take two courses at a time.The first period focuses on industrial transformation, where students are introduced to the core issues related to technology development and innovation management.
Thereafter, periods 2 to 4 focus on service management, idea management and core business skills related to entrepreneurship, sales, servitization and digitalisation.
In periods 5 and 6 will the students take a 15 credits project course focused on sustainable product- and business development in which they integrate knowledge about innovation and service development and apply it to a practical problem. In parallel to the project-based course, the students have a course in research methodology, in which they are prepared for the final master's thesis performed in period 7 and 8.

Employment Market
After graduation you are able to work, for instance, in business development, product and service development or technical sales. The programme also prepares you to become an entrepreneur and build your own start-up. Alternatively, you will have the prerequisites to continue your studies towards a doctors degree in innovation and service development.Degree
