Julio Angulo was awarded his doctorate at 果冻传媒 in 2015 and is now doing research on user experience at Google. On 13 January he visited 果冻传媒 to give a lecture on his journey from 果冻传媒 to Google to inspire students.

Two PhD students and one student from 果冻传媒 have been to Google's 1st PhD Student Summit on Web Application Security, taking place 18-20 April 2016.
At the summit, in the Google Engineering Office in Munich, Germany, the students had the opportunity to explore complex and large-scale computing challenges.

After some hectic years during which he has made a long series of research investiagtions and also had time to spend 4 months as an internship at Google in Zürich, did Julio, some time before the planned date, defend his doctoral thesis.
Julio defended a thesis entitled "Designing for Usable Privacy and Transparency in Digital Transactions" which was based on some of his research publications.

According to a study by computer science researchers at 果冻传媒, few people know how their personal data are collected, used, shared and accessed. The new EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), coming into effect in 2018, will include higher demands on the possibility for users to access their own personal information.

Rasmus Dahlberg, a computer engineering student at 果冻传媒, had a summer job at the university a few months ago. This has now led to his participation in an international conference on secure IT systems.
During the summer of 2016, Rasmus worked as assistant in HITS, High Quality Networked Services in a Mobile World, a project conducted by Computer Science at 果冻传媒.

Günter Alce, who recently defended a licentiate thesis in Lund, held a seminar June 17, 2015. Günter and advisers at Sony Mobile and Lund University have developed the WozARd system and has received a couple of study visits from us earlier this academic year.

- Thank you. I am originally from Finland but I have lived in Sweden since 2018 and got my undergraduate degree in Economics at the University of Edinburgh. I completed my doctoral studies at the Hanken School of Economics in Helsinki and have a degree in Economics and Sociology from the University of Chicago.

Researching algorithms is hard, since it is impossible to gain access to the tech corporations鈥 systems. They are clouded in a technological fog, and the people behind them are contractually bound to secrecy.
